Welcome to Woodland Initiative, where we empower young people aged 16-18 in a safe, nurturing environment. Our specialised solo provision ensures personalised attention and support for each resident.
Woodland Initiative is an Ofsted registered company which operates across Hull and the East Riding, each offering medium to long-term support. We specialise in solo provision, meaning each property is a single placement, ensuring personalised attention and support for every young person. Our team is experienced in managing challenging behaviours and supporting young people with complex needs, including ADHD, autism, mental health issues, substance use and victims of exploitation.
Each resident receives a tailored support plan to meet their unique needs. This is tailored to each young person, designed in collaboration with their family, social worker, and other supporting agencies.
We believe in a trauma-informed approach, meeting young people with kindness and compassion. Our staff are committed to building trusting relationships with young people and are trained to provide a supportive environment where respect and dignity are paramount, regardless of gender, age, culture, religion, race, or sexuality. We focus on preparing young people for adulthood by developing their independent living skills through our bespoke support packages.
Our programs enhance essential life skills required for independent living. Teaching and guiding young people to manage their own tenancy, budget, cook, and maintain a home.
Supporting young people to achieve their academic potential, gain work experience, and prepare for job interviews.
